GT is building something at least in the short term. Saw a few people picking them as a sleeper team in the ACC. My only major issue with them is the offense centers on King and especially his legs. They run him a ton on designed runs, 19 carries already on the season. Over 250 on his career. When I see QB’s required to do that much work and take that many hits I’m always leery. But they are probably the dividing line between Tier 1 and Tier 2 ACC teams. They maybe even be on Tier 2 by themselves at this moment
I’m curious how good FSU really is. They don’t play this week and have a cupcake next weekend but they destroyed some directional A&M team in week 2. I just want to have some hope that they’re beatable at home but seems like a tall order to even be competitive. Then again, who knows.
We’ve had some luck against FSU night games in Scott in the past and I’ll be in town that weekend. Would be a monumental W for this program
Actually looks like there could be several good matchups this week. Curious about the UNC-Richmond game, ODU-VT, and GT-Clemson. Those first two could end up being blowouts, but I suspect they’ll end up being close games.
Not to mention the South Florida - Miami game. There will be lots of South Florida hype after their win over Florida. Need Miami to come out and win big.
Wake up 14-7 on NCST in the 1st quarter. Wolfpack just scored to cut the lead in half.
I saw a good amount of chatter from our fanbase after last Saturday about how we can take solace in the fact that NCST is a good team who should win 8-9 games. But to be honest I just haven’t seen it to this point. They seem like a very mediocre, 6-6 caliber squad to me. Bailey is a talented QB with a solid receiving core, but their OL is mid and their defense is horrible outside of their edge rushers.
Watching 2 middle of the road ACC teams go at it tonight. Wake NC State are like Virginia examples of programs that have little margin for error, and enough talent to look good, but not enough to overcome mistakes or someone being a little off.
The live look-ins to the reviews they’ve been doing for Thursday night games has only revealed that there’s shockingly little that goes into the process and decisions these officials make.
I didn’t realize that was an actual thing they were doing at first and it all feels so awkward and poorly produced. Especially when the payoff is essentially nothing
