Yikes, hokies took a tumble. I’m intrigued by the steady build GT seems to have culminating here. Good for them.

GT is building something at least in the short term. Saw a few people picking them as a sleeper team in the ACC. My only major issue with them is the offense centers on King and especially his legs. They run him a ton on designed runs, 19 carries already on the season. Over 250 on his career. When I see QB’s required to do that much work and take that many hits I’m always leery. But they are probably the dividing line between Tier 1 and Tier 2 ACC teams. They maybe even be on Tier 2 by themselves at this moment

I’m curious how good FSU really is. They don’t play this week and have a cupcake next weekend but they destroyed some directional A&M team in week 2. I just want to have some hope that they’re beatable at home but seems like a tall order to even be competitive. Then again, who knows.

We’ve had some luck against FSU night games in Scott in the past and I’ll be in town that weekend. Would be a monumental W for this program

I’m leaning towards FSU is good. That bama team is not great, but they are solid and more importantly FSU looked like they can execute well.

This is kind of the FSU model in the post Bowden era. They spend and get their act together for a year maybe two and then fade back to obscurity

Actually looks like there could be several good matchups this week. Curious about the UNC-Richmond game, ODU-VT, and GT-Clemson. Those first two could end up being blowouts, but I suspect they’ll end up being close games.

Not to mention the South Florida - Miami game. There will be lots of South Florida hype after their win over Florida. Need Miami to come out and win big.

Don’t we play WVU in Charlotte next year? Will be curious to track their rebuild

Yep we do. But no clue what either club will look like at that point.

Wake up 14-7 on NCST in the 1st quarter. Wolfpack just scored to cut the lead in half.

I saw a good amount of chatter from our fanbase after last Saturday about how we can take solace in the fact that NCST is a good team who should win 8-9 games. But to be honest I just haven’t seen it to this point. They seem like a very mediocre, 6-6 caliber squad to me. Bailey is a talented QB with a solid receiving core, but their OL is mid and their defense is horrible outside of their edge rushers.

NC state looking worse than we thought, Wake (much) better. Not great for us

Watching 2 middle of the road ACC teams go at it tonight. Wake NC State are like Virginia examples of programs that have little margin for error, and enough talent to look good, but not enough to overcome mistakes or someone being a little off.

The live look-ins to the reviews they’ve been doing for Thursday night games has only revealed that there’s shockingly little that goes into the process and decisions these officials make.

NCST with another strong 2nd half, Wake has imploded with penalties and their front 7 getting torched by Smothers.

Still stand by my 6-6 prediction. The back half of their ACC slate is pretty tough and they’ve gotta play ND on the road.

I didn’t realize that was an actual thing they were doing at first and it all feels so awkward and poorly produced. Especially when the payoff is essentially nothing

This is the perfect summary of UVA football since London.

Their back half of the schedule is brutal. Wow. 6-6 is my prediction too with a W over the gobblers.
