Feels like a lock that game will be at 10:30. ACC schedule for that week is a bit soft
Could see them doing GT at NC State in the early slot, Miami vs SMU in that 3ish slot and if you can put a ranked team against a .500 team or Stanford/Pitt on air you take the ranked team
Kinda torn over this Miami - FSU game. On one hand, you’d like to see Miami win and keep an ACC team in the top 5 standings. But it would also be nice to get FSU back in the playoff conversation and have two ACC teams potentially in the top 10. If Miami wins, they should win the rest of their games … FSU has a few tests with Clemson and Florida left. I guess … Go Miami???
I just want the best team to win. If I had to press let Miami win, I rather send 1 strong team into the CFB rather than the wait to see what the roulette wheel spits out.
After Louisville, Cal and Duke are the ones that absolutely terrify me.
Traveling to Cal after traveling to UNC, potentially having to play at a crappy time against their secondary which I think is very good sounds like it could be a real mess for us.
This is why I am a big SEC > B1G guy if we are able to choose. I absolutely hate the cross-country matchups.
It’s kind of surreal looking at FPI percentages on ESPN and seeing win probabilities of 44% @Louisville, 95% vs WSU, 83% @UNC, 67% @Cal, 89% vs Wake, 49% @Duke and 78% vs VT. Last year at this time, we were topping out at 50% chances of winning our easiest games at home and were on the wrong side of a lot of 90/10 predictions.
My fatalism has me convinced we’re losing to UL, Duke, Cal, and VT.
The fact that that would still have us at 7 wins and is actually pretty unlikely is insane for me to think about.
I am an FPI skeptic, so I am excited for the Ford projections sheet to come out later today, but those numbers all look pretty close to what I’d expect. Cal and Louisville odds are probably lower, but he has been liking us quite a bit more than Duke recently, so I think that one could be quite a bit higher.
SP+ has VT over Wake, Miami over FSU, Duke over Cal, Clemson over UNC and Louisville over us (by 9). Last week it had FSU winning by only 3.5, so more bullish on us than Vegas. The opposite this week though.
How is it the school I have virtually no connection to can give me a birthday hook-up but the ones I hold degrees from and support handsomely don’t give me sh^T. Maybe I’m becoming a yellow jacket.
I need to start considering my fandom as a NIL negation.
Can’t tell if BC is really bad or if Pitt is decent. They switched QBs and he’s balling out. Basically trying to gauge how impressive Louisville’s win was last weekend
