God Clemsonâs basketball culture is so weak. Zero juice from that crowd.
Itâs objectively correct to root against Clemson as we might not play them at allâŚbut I donât think I can in this case.
Last 3 minutes has been not good for either team.
Avdalas is terrible.
I am actively rooting for Tech which feels very strange
Was hoping to see VT lose because I think they wouldâve spiraled and had zero chance at making the tournament by the time they play us. But I could see them losing to FSU on Saturday and wasting this win
VT isnât good. Need to shoot 60% from 3 like tonight to win games like this. Would worry more if I thought they were dangerous but theyâre still probably on the outside looking in. Canât wait to play them again
I sure hope weâre shooting better by then. I donât think VT is very good either, but theyâre better than some of the teams weâve played lately. And our recent efforts probably ainât gonna cut it. Will be very helpful having Miami, NC St., and VT at home though.
The vibes are bad at Cuse:

Going to OT though!
Haha⌠never thought of thisâŚ
Itâs absolutely disgusting and shameful that the ACC has contorted a schedule such that I have to root for Virginia Tech. Jim Phillips must go.
Cal Syracuse headed to double OT on ESPNU
Technically a Q1 loss for Cal but itâs getting late early as they are through the bulk of their resume games. Think they probably need to go 5-1 to close out the year to feel like they have a real shot to play their way in during the ACCT
Norlander said on EOCBB that Shrewsberry will definitely still be coaching Notre Dame next season which was a little surprising.
Out of Syracuse, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Pitt, and Wake I think all should probably make a move, though GT/BC might not care enough
I was going to make a keep-Steve-Forbes argument, but then realized heâs never made the NCAA Tournament at Wake Forest. ![]()
Shrewsberry didnât even get a mention in the Athleticâs hot seat roundup:
Autry as âscorching,â Capel as âhot,â and then Forbes, Grant, Stoudamire as âgetting warmer.â For those last 3, financial situations are cited as reasons they wouldnât get fired.
BC and GT could probably get someone to take the job, but Iâm not sure who theyâd land that would be much better without serious resource commitments.
I understand ND keeping Shrewsbury. He built the slow way and then had his best player get knocked out. Iâm not sure the book has been written on him yet and think its fair to give him another shake, and theyâre old school enough that the appearance of stability is big for them.
Forbes, Autry, and Capel need to go though. I think Forbes and Autry are probably already networking, idk about Capel.
Yeah I think Burton getting hurt the last two years has hurt Shrewsbury for sure. And I think most think he is a good coach. So would be nice to see him get a full year with hopefully better luck.
Capel has long deserved to go, and it seem obvious Autry/Stoudamire just arent going to get it done.
Grant is an impossible situation.
Forbes has underachieved at Wake. But hasnt been as bad the above. I do think if WF has their financials in order they may still elect to move on, but who knows.
Crazy to think WF/GT used to be perennial top programs in the ACC. So much nothing there the last 15 years.
If they can return their pg and coachâs son along with Jonathan Sanderson and Haralson/Koehler in the front court I figure thatâs worth one more shot to go at it while saving on a dropping buyout the season after
We need enough openings that Schertz comes here. Pitt or Syracuse are our best shots.
Also I think Odom is already âthe one who got awayâ to a lot of Wake fans, but Iâm excited to see a handful of delusional ones who think heâd leave UVA for them be disappointed come April. I hope Wake, Tech, and NCSU fans kick themselves for years at not hiring CRO when they had a chance to.
