Wake switching out drop coverage for hedging. It’s been fine, their bigger issue is offense. Shooting 26.8% from 3 and their PG options are either of the do-nothing variety (Friedrichsen) or the doing-too-much (Ty-Laur), and then the no-PG lineups are turnover-prone too.

Kind of wild Forbes will have been there five seasons and not made the NCAA tournament once. Didnt feel like that was the trajectory initially.

Prediction time:

  • 2 teams not on the list will make it into the tournament. I’d put money on one of the new bloods, and Louisville.
  • Pitt will be much higher seeded.
  • Wake will not make it in.

Agree. Pitt has looked good so far, even accounting for no big tests so far.

I think I’d put my long shot money on ND right now? They’ve got 3 Q1 opportunities coming up in a row.

Is Miami good this year? I haven’t started taking them seriously again since they shat the bed last year.

On paper they should be solid.

Cleveland and Lynn Kidd in the front court.

Nigel Pack, Jalen Blackmon, the 5 star Bethea and two other transfer guards who are playing well so far.

If this is Larranaga’s last year and we also keep Sanchez, Miami Freshman Austin Swartz and incoming guarding Matthew Able are two VERY interesting McKneely replacement targets long term. (No idea what recruits Shaka/Odom have connections with)

Yeah I don’t wanna build up too much karma because I know when we play them in Cassell they’ll somehow shoot 70% from 3, but this VT team has some major flaws.

They’re now down 10 with three minutes left.
