T-Rank has them favored in 13 out of 16. Louisville, UNC, and Duke (all at home) are the only ACC teams favored.
We aren’t the biggest underdog by T-Rank, that goes to Syracuse on the road against Tennessee, which is a brutal matchup for them. I was about to comment “how did that happen” but the ACC road teams aren’t strong this year.
Damn, that really sucks. That’s like pretty much their best two players in the last week? Actually not sure about Johnson, but Pryor was the best.
And kinda feels like that fan base just suffered through the Payne era. Which followed the (attempted) Blackmail era. Which followed the David Padgett era. Which followed the Tugs Bowen saga. Which, to be fair, followed some pretty good years of hoops.
ND really really misses Burton (duh). Georgia is ball pressuring them and denying them off-ball, and they don’t have enough dudes who can make a play with the ball without him.
They are trying to do some good stuff to solve that issue by back-cutting a lot and curling their guards around handoffs towards the rim; that needs to go into our toolbox against pressure. But you have to be willing to throw that backdoor pass.
