Defensively Iād be fine giving up buckets inside. Run their guards off the line. Need our bigs to be disciplined and stay out of foul trouble.
Heide (63%), Wilcher (45%) and Pope (37%) can all shoot from 3. They account for about 50% of their 3PA - rest of the team is relatively trash from distance.
Against NC State, Texas shot 16-32 from three (the aforementioned group accounted for 13-22). Texas also shot 28-32 from the lineā¦and 13-20 from two (NC State D is trash).
That said their bigs are prone to foul trouble as well. Vokietaitis and Heidi both fouled out and Swain picked up his 4th with 10 to go. Most of those fouls were picked up in the 2nd half. We need to pressure them early.
I know itās early and their NET could drop butā¦.the Northwestern game is currently a Q1 win. Also very good chance OSU on a neutral court is Q1 at the end of the season even though theyre currently 60th.
I think this will stay Q1 because the Big Ten is a strong conference. Butler needs to win in order to stay in the top 50, but they also would need to fall 20+ spots in order for it to fall out of Q1 so Iām guessing it will stay there as well

I just hope we donāt spend a penny more than we need to on that program until Moxās contract expires. If we can convince donors like Ohanian to reallocate resources to menās basketball or football then even better. No ill will towards Mox or disappointment in Carla. I thought it was a great hire on paper
