Love these Virginia fans who already are checking out on this season.
We won the regular season title and made it to the finals of the tournament, and somehow that’s causing “fatigue.” That’s like starting to scour the bars for Wife No. 2 as soon as you’re back from your honeymoon.
For me, I’ll get excited for the new era when the new era arrives. In the meantime, I love this team, I love its potential in the tournament, and I can’t wait for their next game. I’m not fatigued at all.
I’m looking forward to the annual, very predictable laugh I’ll have tomorrow night when everyone on ESPN repeatedly tells us how wide open the tournament is then they reveal their Final 4 picks of three 1 seeds and Duke.
My biggest take away was Roach dominated Kihei. I love Kihei, but he was a liability on both sides of the court today. Hopefully bounces back this week
At the very last this week made me feel better about this team not pulling a Florida. I don’t think this group will no show a game. When they go out they will fight the offense just won’t be there
Upon reflection, I think this will be Tony’s greatest coaching job ever. This is the same team that made the NIT last year. And yes I do have the AF/JG/KC/Papi fatigue. even if it’s only been two seasons collectively, it feels like they have been here for DECADES. People wil hate this post..
Xavier and Kansas both got walloped in their title games tonight; I’m sure their message boards are melting down lol, but from a more objective view its not a big deal and I can recognize that those teams are still quite good. Don’t get me wrong, we could easily lose our first round game, but I don’t think tonight should damper our hopes for the big dance. Losing a title game will always sting, but as we know (for better or worse) teams are remembered for what happens the next 3 weeks.
I hope when summer workouts begin there is an unofficial ceremony where Bond and Traudt are handed red jerseys and get to toss them into a bonfire or something.
