Good to know … I have a potential piano major
Once again, got excited about logging on to 57 new posts. Shame on me
The 5 seconds it took to scroll past 57 posts and the faction of a second it took to realize it wasn’t recruiting news must have been absolutely miserable.
Like I said, shame on me.
The broader point is that posters here sometimes view the world through the lens of their experiences and preferences without considering that recruits might value different things. And it’s usually best when there’s an alignment between their values and what UVA and CTB can offer.
Also, it’s possible that posts like this make me reluctant to be overly optimistic.
for Derek Dixon. I wonder if they let Wilkins go on the road for his Brother? I know there are rules about only 3 staff going out or something like that during aau.
UMBC has as much of a shot with Dixon as it does winning a first-round NCAAT game as a 16-seed.
That was an opinion piece by Fresh only. But being optimistic is great and we got Elijah Gertrude so house money
Delete"Fall" from the thread title. This is almost a recruiting thread.
More Ohio posts please
Any program that has that mascot:
Grovers really let himself go.
Jowon Briggs is a stud. Always thought he was a perfect fit at Virginia, so talented in so many ways. He’s married and just had his third child. Captain at Cincinnati and getting a lot of NFL buzz- didn’t realize he had picked up his bachelors at UVA before transferring.
Wait, weren’t you excited to learn about schools with strong music curriculums? I mean, that’s lot better than hearing about some boring recruits.
Keep up the good work Fresh
I do have some skin in the game in that my son was a music composition major at USC, effectively a technical school for Hollywood. He wasn’t recruited (tying back into the recruiting topic).
Evan Mobley was #3 in his class, Isaiah Mobley #24, Okongwu #27, Metu #41, Dedmon was a transfer in 2011, Taj Gibson got to USC in 2006, and Vucevic in 2008.
To me that’s the equivalent of giving Duke credit for putting Zion in the league. If a top 100-ish recruit looks at those guys as players USC put into the league, the kid’s an idiot*. (I might forgive the Metu thing, but even he was almost a decade ago.)
*and it’s up to Tony and staff to clear up those perceptions.
