As I stated in the other thread, I think it will be Purdue. They had more 1st place votes than us coming into the week 8 to 3. I just think the media is looking for an excuse to move them up to #1. We also only had 5 more points than they did 1416 to 1411.

Purdue hasn’t played a bad schedule, and UConn has some decent wins. I think it’s a tossup who deserves #1 right now.
Tough call. Would love to see us #1 but won’t think it’s some grand conspiracy even if we stayed at #3.

Why do people think Purdue will be ahead of UVA? Purdue hasn’t done anything of note in the last 2 weeks. Voters tend not to bump a lower team ahead of a higher team unless the higher team lost or the lower team did something very impressive this week.
