Franklin, in a way, represents that last piece of the post championship/COVID era in UVA hoops. This team needed to shed all those pieces (Clark, Franklin, Caffaro, BVP, Gardner) to get a fresh new start, a new era in UVA hoops. Would have preferred to keep Shedrick and Traudt, but the result is the same. Build around solid recruiting classes and key transfers.
Armaan’s three in OT against Duke was my favorite moment of the season. Awesome shot, it was a shame it was overshadowed by the call at the end of regulation.
I really liked Franklin. I thought he really improved each year. I hope he ends up in a good situation and has lots of success.
At least Mama Franklin isn’t abandoning us just yet
