Baseball is back at it and trying to recover from the Notre Dame sweep.
Towson is a great opponent for that goal.
First pitch is just after 4:00.

Hoos just finished off a 5 to 0 win.
Towson employed my least favorite strategy in baseball that you often see in this midweek games against low major teams - a new pitcher every single inning.
Five UVA pitchers (Billy Price, Paul Kosanovich, Zach Messinger, Kyle Whitten, and Stephen Schoch) combined on a 1 hit shutout.
UVA will host Pitt for three games beginning on Saturday (Saturday, Sunday, Monday). Pitt is having a really good, and surprising season. They’ll be favored and I’ll almost certainly pick them to win the series. But we need to get an ACC series win under our belts in the worst way. I’ll be looking for, and hoping for, a real sense of urgency from the team this weekend.
The pitching staff might be even better than expected coming into the season. But calling the hitting a disaster would be kind.
