Oh they absolutely did. I think traudt is a 5 star from our perspective given the talent and the fact he will be a solid to star player for 3 years most likely. The perfect recruit for us to pull.

I saw that in the highlights and wondered if that’s a regular part of his arsenal. I love the hook shot as long as you can be consistent with it.

That’s a very interesting comparison. Bobby Jones was pretty fluid and really moved well was pretty much strictly a 4 but could put the ball on the floor. I would say he’s not quite as fluid as Jones, maybe a little better suited to the post position than Jones and might have a bigger offensive upside.

Funny that you bring up Bobby Jones, I was just thinking the other day that T.J. Power reminded me a little of his contemporary, Gus Girard, except Gus didn’t have as good a perimeter shot as Power and Power may not be quite as bouncy as Gus.

I haven’t seen enough of Power to make the Gerard comparison, and very few players were as bouncy as he. And, your comments on Jones being more of a four are spot on, however, Jones field goal percentage was approaching 60% (.580 as a sr., .601 as a jr., & .668 as a soph, in double figures all three years), to go along with his elite defense, There’s a reason Smith replaced Bill Chamberlain in UNC’s starting line-up with him. If Buchanan puts up similar numbers, I’ll be quite happy.

Recently, I watched some the highlight videos of both Power and Momcilovic. I imagine that there is room for only one of them, so if one commits to UVa (and, I’d be quite happy with either), I really hope it’s Power. His game seemed more in tune with Coach Bennett’s schemes to my untrained eye. Among other things, I actually saw him pass the ball. Momcilovic is a “black hole”. Once the ball goes to him, he’s going to shoot it. (That said, it’s a habit that worked for Junior Burrough. He may have passed the ball during his time at Virginia, but I’m not sure I can remember the occasion. ) Now, it may be he does pass the ball, but his video editor decided to omit those plays, and I imagine that Coach Bennett could teach him to pass the ball, if necessary, but it seems to be a skill Power already possesses, and, not only does he pass the ball, he does it well. Just my thoughts though. Go 'Hoos!!!
