Maybe this is something that most posters can agree with @Galileo24 about.
Really, almost all of the best nicknames in UVA history (Big Smooth, Big Money, etc.) weren’t tied to the geography of the player’s hometown.

Spike. His dad is known as Buck. Young buck=spike.
BB button buck
Blake the Snake, Shake and Blake, Blaker’s dozen, Blaken and eggs, Blaker’s Mark, EarthBlake, Blake your daughter to work day, Blake Forest, or maybe even The Future Pro from Idaho.
If you’re not feeling any of these I think BB is fine too.
Blake works fine for me. Or Daisy. But no, yeah, let’s just stick with Blake.
Dr TJ Eckleburg? I guess it doesn’t really roll off the tongue.
Clearly, his name is B-lock-K
Oh damn best reference yet
Man so good. Sadly this is like 10 years ago rendering us all ancient. Our kids are cutting edge now with nicknames like Fish. Booooo Go! Fish
Not sure if it’s been said but the Buchanimal seems fitting
That’s probably the reason he left. I mean, who wants to go around the Grounds being called “Fish?”
Blake getting even bigger
Until someone comes up with something better I’m just calling him Buck
I often call him Buck by mistake. Because I’m old enough to remember the great Chiefs defensive lineman.
Well, he’s a Big Buck
@Collins already did
Edit: just realized you were replying to Collins comment
Since we have days of exam break still to go, how are folks feeling about what Blake has showed this season? What have you liked? Where do you want to see growth?
I wanted to dial in on one specific thing: his shot profile: 14-31 on 2s (45%), 0-0 on 3s, 19-31 on FTs (61%), which also means he has a FT rate (FTA/FGA) of 100. The 2PAs break down further into 8-14 on rim attempts (57%), 6-17 on non-rim 2s (35%). On rim attempts, he’s 6-8 on dunks, 2-6 on non-dunks.
Not sure if he’s taking so many midrange shots because he is confident in the shot vs. not being able to get to the rim. I’m hoping he shows some more growth as a rim finisher against contests (basically those non-dunk rim attempts). I do like his foul drawing, though half of his FTAs came in the Florida game.
He seems to have a mid-range bag, but not really an at-the-rim bag, or maybe his at-the-rim bag doesn’t work at this level yet.
Really like his game, footwork, and hustle.
He needs to work on his hand strength - he has a lot of balls poked away from him on rebounds and/or at the rim.
His defense seems very solid. Moves well and hasn’t fouled much while hedging up top. Does well in scramble situations, and hasn’t run into any of our players while slipping back into covering his man.
His head is probably swimming and he may still be in the “thinking” instead of “reacting/anticipating” phase, but that’s completely understandable. Hope he keeps his head up, stays confident, and continues to work on strength and his shot.
Big upside with him. I’m a huge fan.
Oh, and that reminds me of a random thing from the last Cuts – I thought he had a little pep in his step when he played with Elijah.
