We kinda need Rohde’s wing offense this year. Not reading too much into a scrimmage (unless it fits my narrative) though. But hope to see him start hitting some shots

Tony also mentioned prior to the scrimmage they practiced hard for 40 minutes and also using up all the 3s in the 3pt contest.
Im not as worried about offense unless its an uber athletic team and then in that case we make it an ugly game

Don’t see the 2nd option to initiate the offense yet behind Reece…except for Harris. McNeeley still catch and shoot so far with no penetration. Rohde made 1 nice drive to the basket.

As others have said, athleticism for days - good effort on D, this is frustrating the shot making, but we have missed the open 3s we’ve had, minus one by Groves.

Quick takes:
-Beekman is by far our best player. Thank god he came back otherwise this likely wouldn’t have been a tournament team.
-Dunn hasn’t taken leap offensively yet, but his handle and confidence on that end is leaps and bounds better than last year.
-Rohde will be fine and maybe better than that, but he won’t be a top 2 scorer.
-Bond, Groves, and Harris will play a lot.
-Buchanan and Gertrude have a ways to go IMO. Expect to see a lot of small ball with Dunn at 5 bc of lack of post O.

I was arguing with an FSU fan on Twitter. I noted their football team had been shaky the last 6 years. He said “what’s the significance of 6 years?” I said “it’s the timeframe that works best with my argument”.
