Didn’t catch a lot of the game but reading back through the comments and I think this may be my favorite gamethread comment of the season. I’ve been laughing so hard at this
Another efficient 22 minutes by Stattmann.
2 pts on 0-1 shooting with 2 rebounds. Highlighted by a steal at halfcourt only to immediately give it right back. His turnover resulted in an easy layup for BC.
Taine and Igor watched from the bench.
Don’t cheat Kody of his 2 blocks and 3 steals. Kody Statt Sheet Stuffer Mann!

Guard play vs BC - video review:
Good Passes to open guys that didn’t end in assists. Includes guys who got fouled – so effectively an assist.
Clark had 8 + 3 good post entry passes
Beekman had 12 + 3 hockey assists
Where did you find Reece’s offensive rating of 125? KenPom, Bart Torvik, and College Basketball Reference all have his offensive rating at 62 for this game. Just curious!
0-3 FG’s = 0 points, 7 assists including 1 for a 3 = 15 points, 2 turnovers.
That’s 12 possessions finished producing 15 points = 1.25 points per possession.
And that doesn’t even include the could have been assists I mentioned above.
Clark’s could have been much higher too if guys had made shots off his good passes.
So it is a manual calculation, got it. And it appears your calculation values assists more than the others because I believe the other offensive ratings don’t give full point values for the assister, hence why they would have Reece lower than you.
There is a reason all of the analytics guys do it like they do as well. It doesn’t make sense to give an assist that much credit. A pass out to the wing is the easy part in scoring.
While I agree to an extent, not all assists are created equal. Reece does have some assists that others wouldn’t be able to make. That said, I do think the most important part to a basket is the actual basket.
Absolutely agree.
Yikes! What about all the passes that resulted in missed shots?
All these ratings you have been putting out each game for us are your own ratings?
The answer seems to be only for Kihei and Reece’s offensive ratings. The rest are straight from basketball reference.
Yep - probably lazy as I could have made sure the others matched up.
But it was interesting to me how many good looks Reece and Kihei got for teammates that went unrewarded too.
None of the other guys have very many assists or could have been assists
Bumping this thread because I don’t remember it being mentioned - but Shedrick’s 13 pts are a new career high for him (after hitting 12 a few times previously).
