Buchanan had more rebounds per 40 minutes (8.4) than did Akil Mitchell, Darion Atkins, Anthony Gill, and Mike Tobey in any of their first two years. He’ll get better with strength and as comfort level on the floor increases. Worth mentioning that Carter Lang had 12.1 reb/40 min which is exceptional. He didn’t play a lot, but enough to think that he rebounds well.

He had to play out of necessity cause they had some weird injuries and what not in their front court. Once the season went on he kinda disapppeared.
Wasn’t remotely competitive in the minutes he got (at least something came of following Vandy for Ven Lubin LOL).
I do wonder if he redshirts since that’s a thing walk-ons can do. Get his tuition covered by NIL. Save a year to get in somewhere for law/medical/grad school. And Im sure he could be a bench depth guy in the front court. Just no idea if he can protect the rim or defend in space.
Of course nothing is impossible and he could be come one of those Purdue/Wisconsin walk-ons to 4th year starter for us.

Unfortunately I remember a certain big that could body em up when we ran sides…couldn’t catch the ball worth a damn…played a lot of minutes…it would be very on brand of Tony to give this dude minutes if he practices well…

Salt? He helped win a natty (admittedly mostly supplanted by Diakite by the end of the season), but still, no complaints about him.
