Kihei vs. Oregon is most remembered and rightfully so - but he was equally huge against Auburn.
He was our defensive answer against Jared Harper who was carving everyone up and he was the only player who could consistently get into the lane off of the bounce against their quickness.
Ty hit some pretty wild runners that game but they were wild because he was having trouble beating his man.
He was exactly what that team needed to fill a specific skill gap.
I love Kihei, but he never should have been asked to be Robin, much less Batman. He should have stayed one of the Teen Titans.
Thats where he was perfect. I blame Ty Dre and Kyle for not coming back and winning it all again.
Of course there was nothing to win that year…

Because of the pandemic and the cancelled tournament, that is.
But we could have done a Florida State and been declared the NCAA champs that year by somebody..
We kinda got to enjoy the “reigning” tag without the same air of desperation that hung over FSU’s tournament* champs claim. Probably due to the fact that our guys actually won a tournament.
Soooo… eyes on Chance this weekend I guess.

Feel good about this one. Based on previous commitments, young man wants to play for a coach who gets napalmed in the first round.
Who wants to win? The important thing is to be able to shoot frequently.
What gets announced first:
Where’s “neither?” Chance to VT and then Olen to Virginia.
Define Odom getting announced
I was on the fence about expecting an announcement tomorrow. On the one hand it becomes clear we’d been all over him. Which I know everyone here knows but to the public it’s not so obvious…
On the other hand a Monday presser would be the obvious optimal for how UVA likes to do things… announcing tomorrow and setting up Monday press makes that easy…
Chance announcing Saturday in an event makes it an easy call. They’ll announce Odom tomorrow.
