Braxton wanted to play for coach Tony Bennett at Virginia out of high school. But before he could visit the Charlottesville campus, De’Andre Hunter accepted the last available scholarship.
“I wanted to learn how to win at the next level,” said Braxton, who was looking for the kind of discipline and structure Bennett’s program offered. “It was a great move for my career.”
