✂ Cuts From The Corner: Tracking A Transfer - Malik Thomas

If he’s just an elite spot up shooter this year that’s a W

I agree. The questions with Lewis are that he’s not as good at creating off of the bounce (but he’s still good if he can slash) and he was a poor defender away from the ball…

But he’s athletically very gifted, very good in transition, and has the potential to be our best (or second best) defender along with his shooting.

It’s probably Jacari first, Eli if that’s not working… or even Chance.

I should elaborate - Jacari should typically take the biggest scoring threat - but he’s also the guard best suited for taking the quickest guard of those three. I imagine a world where you try him there first and then either try Hall (who can be a good defender but isn’t the best matchup for quickness) on the scorer or bring in Lewis or Eli to deal with the bigger scoring threat.

Let’s say Jacari isn’t quite there on the quick guard - then you probably turn to Eli there and keep him on the scorer (although, generally, I kind of like the idea of putting Eli on the best scorer and letting Jacari try on the quicker guard - might not always work, though).

Break glass is probably Chance in that situation - but I actually think Eli would just be a nightmare for a guard like that.
