Good stuff Cuts. Agree almost across the board … although I am a little more neutral on Malik. I worry he doesn’t have the athleticism to play his best game in our league and his 3 ball release has more complexity and looks less repeatable than I would like. I am not negative, just recalibrating his net contribution going forward,

Yeah… I mean, his shot is kind of inexplicable. He shot 39% last year on 180 attempts and 40% the year prior on 120… that certainly seems repeatable, to me - it’s virtually the same percentage across 300 shots.
This year, 31% on 48 attempts so far. I don’t think it has anything to do with the release or his mechanics - I think it has to do with where he is mentally and how much he’s clearly putting pressure on himself to deliver offense.

Good points about his prior results. You can definitely see the lack of a comfort zone on his face and with his movements. Hope he settles in. Maybe he can benefit from not being the defensive focus of the other team for a period of time.

I love TDR’s game. He’s very decisive.
Not sure how Malik got to the point of worrying about his place on this team, but sure seems like it now. I still expect him to break out of it but each game that he doesn’t makes it that much harder (or maybe he is okay and it is just in my head)

I think it’s a safe bet he’s in his head. How quickly he can shake it is the question. I don’t think it came from worrying about his place on the team. I think it came from worrying about putting up points, because that’s what he was brought in to do… rather than just playing and what comes, comes.

My take is he is trying to justify being the highest paid player on the team.
