Iowa +6.5 vs. Oregon
This one makes me nervous. But I’m going with it anyways because I believe in the power of Kinnick Stadium which has an ability to make teams play uncritically bad. Don’t forget Iowa was up 14-10 in the fourth against Indiana earlier this season.
Iowa +6.5
Stanford vs. UNC Under 41.5
Two teams with offenses that are struggling. UNC has improved over the past few weeks but overall the offense is still stuck in neutral. Both teams struggle to finish drives in the red zone. This one has slow and plodding written all over it
Under 41.5
Tulane +4 vs. Memphis
Tulane laid an egg last week against UTSA and I’m banking that they’ve gotten that out of their system. A focused Green Wave is too talented for Memphis to contain.
Indiana -14.5 vs. Penn St
Two programs headed in different directions. Ever since IU went to Oregon and knocked out the Ducks have been on a tear. winning 38-13 against Michigan State, 56-6 against UCLA and 55-10 against Maryland. Meanwhile PSU had their best half of the season against OSU last week and lost 38-14.
Air Force vs. San Jose st. OVER 67.5
Neither team likes to tackle. That’s a problem. Both teams excel and getting chunk plays down the field and run schemes that force defenses into uncomfortable situations.
Virginia vs, Wake Forest +7
I like the Hoos in this spot but I don’t like them with the line starting to creep up in some books. Wake pounds the ball with their run games. Sometimes it works other times it does not. But they are consistent. They eat up large chunks of clock and keep your offense off the field. I’m not sure the Hoos offense gets enough touches to pull the cover.
From my guy @5sheff he sent these over on Wednesday knowing he’d be out of pocket
Akron -10.5 vs. UMass - UMass is 2-5 ATS as double-digit underdogs this year. UMass is next to last in 3rd down conversions, next to last in 4th down conversions, and dead last in Red Zone scoring percentage. In defending exactly those three areas, Akron is 50th in the nation, 4th, and 12th. Akron ain’t much, but I think they can cover against the Minutemen.
Louisiana +2.5 vs. Texas St. - Louisiana has won 11 straight out of 11 total games against Texas St. Yeah, I’ll take Louisiana and the points.
UConn +9.5 vs. Duke - obvious trap game, but I’ll still take a bunch of points. UConn’s QB has yet to throw and INT this year, and Duke’s defense is susceptible through the air.
Finally back to my computer and some time to catch up. 4-2 on the weekend for a very good outing. Still gutted over Saturday night but time to move forward.
