Pretty clear as day that the ACC is a level below both the B1G and SEC, in terms of both depth and top end talent. Wanna believe that Clemson competes with Texas later tonight but thereās a very real chance they get boatraced as well.
Plain and simple these conferences have more money, more resources and in turn better players than us. Shitty TV rights deal doomed this conference.

This is the article with the most detail that I found. But Iāve seen Phillips quoted that a school could earn up to 20-25 mil and not coincidently, teams in the CFP earn 4 mil each for the first round and quarterfinal and 6 mil each for the semi and final.

12 is too many teams, but thereās good money to be made and people will watch and playoff games in December on college campuses is a new and novel thing.
But how many teams have shown the ability and consistency to win 3-4 games in a row against top 10 level competition? Maybe 5? Maybe just 3?
Oregon, Georgia and Ohio State. Maybe Tennessee whose best win is Alabama and second best is Vandy? Texasā best win is Vandy or TAMU?
Edit: oh, I forgot ND whose best win was Army and then TAMU? Navy? Lost to 7-5 Northern Illinois?

Yea Ive seen a number of articles trashing Indiana and Im sure smu will get the same in the AM.
Iām fine with it. As a fan I get to watch meaningful ball in late December and the home game playoff looks cool. Im sure if you play it out enough eventually youāll get a 10-12 pulling an upset which is all anyone wants. And if Iām college football all the selection debate is good for business and drives headlines for an extra month
