šŸ€ Dream Recruits thread Class of 2025

Player: Colt Langdon
Position: 6ā€™7/6ā€™8 shooting forward
Best Attribute: Floor spacing
School: Millbrook. Was on Team Loaded VA with Jackson Keith but will be running with Team United next summer (Jarin Stevensonā€™s team/Nike)

UVA connection: his dad was a football player at UVA late 80s or early 90s I forget. Also heā€™s been on 1 or 2 unofficial visits to UVA. Tony watched him at that NCAA event in Memphis late July (or one of those events late July). I think HGN either in a recruiting thread of VIP thread said that Langdon is probably someone that staff want to offer or recruit but not sure if he really fits the roster since the priority is an athletic wing/forward. Heā€™s more Sam Hauser but a little more aggressive downhill and in the post and more physical. Also a lefty

Think a bigger Tyler Nickel or a more sturdy but also maybe better handler Sam Hauser but no guarantee he becomes Hauser level shooter at college.

Ok didnt wanna say it. TJ Power ha

Lol yeah that was my inital reaction. I think Langdon is more aggressive offensively and a better 3pt shooter.

TJ Power racked up big numbers on 14 years in the Peach Jam NIT. I think Power though has a higher floor because of his athleticism that makes him a serviceable glue guy. Langdon can bounce too but is not athletic in the ways a glue guy is (like Braxton with his mobility. Power does have that)

Weā€™d make room if he were from Wisconsin

Reading this thread makes me realize how absolutely crucial it was for us to land Cofie. He answers a lot of front court roster questions. Letā€™s us chase the high potential stretch 4 type players.

Cofie when he gets here is going to be literally the only true 4 man on the roster if we go by the traditional sense.

Damn beat me to the punch. My next post was going to be Austin Williford and how heā€™s essentially a midmajor kid now because heā€™s a wing forward in a 6ā€™3 combo guardā€™s body and didnā€™t produce on a talented team takeover squad. Doubt he switches aau teams to a program where he could maybe get more exposure (like DC Premier on underarmour)

So heā€™s Leon Bond?

Nah Leonā€™s 6ā€™5/6ā€™6.

Williford is 6ā€™3/maybe 6ā€™4. But a wing/forward all the way. Not a pg or combo guard yet really.

Man he moves just like Jay used to only way faster ha

Ritchie McKay offered him at Liberty, right? Go there and develop, and maybe come home if he balls out? Though I guess they wouldnā€™t really want to poach from a friend.

Yeah. It sucks because heā€™s fast and a good athlete (the track kids have tried to get him to try sprinting or hurdles), but perhaps kinda like Bond I suspect everyone thought heā€™d grow a little more. Heā€™s still young, maybe thereā€™s still a growth spurt in there. I hope so. With his game, another 3" would help enormously.

If we dont offer Iā€™d love to see Ritchie grab him to Liberty. Still feels like in the extended family.

One of my friends and former teammates is an assistant at Prolific! I know their roster is stacked at the top and pretty young for their best guys (Stokes and Dybantsa) but hopefully Winters can get some burn this season and crack the starting lineup next year.

Head coach is also a NC guy so maybe something our staff is able to work with if he grows into a potential UVA target.

I think thats why Trey Green and Aden Holloway went to Prolific, right?

Not positive but Iā€™d guess so! They were doing a good job of getting top NC talent at The Burlington School, won a couple of state championships, and some of their guys followed them out to Prolific.

I know they are always back in area quite a bit so seems like they still have some deep roots here (aside from parents living here since both guys are younger than 30).

@DFresh11 this is your guy, right? I remember you mentioning there was a 2025 kid on Gertrude and Tahaadā€™s team that you were wanting to work out and chat up.
