Check HGNs article in the first post of this thread. Luca Foster and Bo Ogden have visits scheduled, and mentions some others that are likely to schedule a visit
Dylan Mingo is visiting UConn this weekend. Third visit (Washington, Miami)
The main teams with Arafan Diane are the ones who showed up today. Houston, Indiana, Kentucky all have visits scheduled, with UVA not giving up.
Cole Cloer is gone.
I know the coaches are supposed to go down to see Bo Ogden soon. Late Sept scheduled visit. Obviously Texas is the team to beat.
UVA not sending anyone to Petersburg this week could mean they’re waving the surrender flag with Latrell Allmond. But we’ll see, they might show up there yet.
Luca Foster just visited Villanova, goes to Oklahoma this week. Michigan and Ohio State were there yesterday, probably the main teams in the picture along with Villanova. He’s scheduled to visit UVA in early Oct.
I think it was Bryce Crawford up to see Morillo yesterday, part of a New England sweep. That’s a good sign that they’ll at least get him to visit. He’s been to Marquette, Minnesota, with Illinois on deck.
Jayden Hodge had Northwestern and ODU there yesterday. I’d guess it comes down to those two.
Cody Peck had a Dayton assistant in to see him. They might get him just by staying the course when others didn’t.
Promise him a clear cut roster, with a predefined role. Show him Johann Grünloh in practice as the model for how he’s used. 2) Offer him lots of money, be prepared to offer even more.
The only surprising part is that they didn’t offer in July. Griff was all over him. He’s got a slate of visits scheduled. Already been to Stanford. Cincy and Vandy coming up. Obviously Houston is the team to watch, they had about the full staff at IMG today.
Wouldn’t have guessed that: 1) he would be representing Canada internationally (thanks to Hakeem being on the Raptors for one season) and 2) he has only been in the US since 2021.
Virginia, how did it feel to get that offer, and what is the pitch?
“It’s a blessing. I don’t take any Power 4 offers lightly, especially because they’ve been pretty good the last few years. So, I’m pretty happy about that.”
What are the visit plans looking like?
”Going to Cincinnati tomorrow. TCU and Houston are in the first two weeks of October. I might visit Virginia and Virginia Tech; we will see.”
Probably helps us that Wes Miller is going into the year very much on the hot seat. But it does seem like Houston is in the driver’s seat overall.
Seems like we’re going to keep bumping into Houston on the trail a lot, but I don’t mind that too much because I don’t think Sampson is there much longer and don’t think his son will have the same draw.
