Early speculation (with zero inside knowledge, it seems) is Cam Seldon. Thatās a little too good to be true imo, but would be a huge momentum swing.

If the OL doesnāt lose anyone else, Boley, Josey, Metcalf (C or RG), maybe Witmer at RG? Steen (maybe could move Steen inside to keep Witmer at OT) is probably on par with 2024 with potential to be better. If Josey leaves as Iād expect, maybe a transfer at one of the IOL positions. Depth, as always is the issue there. Our guys get hurt and the dropoff is pretty huge.
Edwards got 2 crystal balls to Wisconsin this morning (after getting one to Michigan last week). Not sure I see him as a great fit in Elliottās system tbh.
My guess is we donāt end up with him.
What is Elliottās system, besides losing?
Thereās nothing in the scheme or playcalling that screams system.
We donāt have the athletes to run the Clemson offense, so itās a watered-down mess.

What is our system? Seriously. I donāt know. Hike and run for your life? Weāll need some talent and attitude on the OL before we can execute any type of system against quality opponents.

Welsh had great OL. We won games.
Groh had great offensive lines. We won games.
London won games with Grohās holdover OL. He lost bigtime when they graduated because he thought 15 athletes > even two OL in a recruiting class.
Mendenhall rebuilt the line and won games. They all left when he left, and we havenāt rebuilt the line again and we lose lots of games.

Transfer recruiting is so different. CBās donāt mean much when that player is still taking visits. Team with the last visit holds so much of the power.

That said OāNeil had a mediocre season at SDSU, doesnāt really scream āsure thing B1G starterā so my guess is Edwardsā job would be to mentor the rising RS Soph OāNeil.
