Seems too good to be true, first team all-AAC, 66 catches for 822 yards and 11 TDs this season.
Fickell may be coaching for his job, and I donāt think Iād bet my job on this SDSU kid.
Think @Jerome is right, the transfer crystal ball is pretty useless.
Would we rather have Edwards or one of Stone/Morris? I think Iād lean towards one of the DFW area guys personally.
If weāre legit in it for All-AAC 1st team WR DT Sheffield, and we also have a shot at his all-AAC 2nd Team QB Chandler Morris, then you give them whatever it takes to come as a package deal.
Does their offensive coordinator want to come too?
At first glance my thought was āno way too soonā Then I checked the record and 13-13 in just over 2 years and 5-7 last season. Yea that wonāt fly at Wisconsin especially since heās trying to change the ethos of Badger football with the spread. The seat might be getting warm for him.
There is your starter for 2025
Wow did not think they would actually land him. Instant upgrade from anything weāve seen the last 2 years.
We may have too much money
This is a HUGE pull for the staff. Iām fired up
Woah⦠From @StLouHoo 's lips to Godās ears. That package deal may come to fruition pretty quick.
Now letās get some Offensive lineman.
The guy I sit next to at work is a big Wisconsin guy (he and I regularly relay our fanbasesā respective message board drama to each other), and he is out on Fickell. Their schedule is pretty brutal next year, so he could be done sooner rather than later (which I do think would be dumb).
Green ranger tweet makes the package deal seem to make sense. Coach just completely changed the outlook for Hoos with a couple major swings. Shore up the lines now and letās see what happens.
Fickell was a hot commodity 2 years ago ⦠tough business.
Fact I thought/still think heās a good coach. I do think the style change was probably too drastic for Wisconsin even with the portal and being able to bring in players. Wisconsin is also a lowkey difficult job. A good academic school (Gary Anderson jumped shipped after 2 years despite a winning record due to the restrictions) that doesnāt have a large recruiting footprint due to their traditional style of play.
And they have some extremely high expectations. Chryst was fired with a 93-67 record for a slow start in conference his final year. Bielema was essentially chased off by not supporting his staff dispite multiple trips to the Rose Bowl and a .739 win %-
I was very confused by your response and stats because I thought Sheffield was a DT, but now I understand heās a WR and his name is DT Sheffield.
Yeah these are big time, but Iām restraining my optimism until I see some commitments from o-linemen.
Recruiting the OL just got a lot easier with a stud at QB
JF saying thatās not a commitment gif so maybe no dice on DT Sheffield. Oh well
I too may have fallen victim to thinking he was a defensive tackle.
Saw Travis Hunter heisman and wanted to one up with a DT/WR combo
