I don’t believe the Tony Elliott rumor at all. This guy has been mentioned for coaching vacancies for years and everyone says that he’s being picky about the job he takes because he’s already very well paid at Clemson. So of course, he’s waiting for an offer from Virginia?
Hootie also broke the news that Rice was committing here. So I take everything he says with a grain of salt.

Ugh. Not good that the First Responder Bowl is even on the table. It’s a tier 2 and literally the worst case scenario. Going there means the Hoos were deemed the worst Bowl eligible ACC team.
Edit - Eh, “least attractive” would be a better way of putting it.

Come on. You guys know bowls care about one thing only. $$&&$. How many butts in the seats and overnights at hotels. That’s it. Has nothing to do with attractiveness of team at this level of bowl.

UVA’s offense is pretty fun, though.
There are 5 6-6 ACC teams so it’s not like UVA is competing against Bama here. First Reaponder Bowl means we were 5th of those 5. Including Louisville who we beat.

Oh, that’s what “attractiveness” means. How interesting are they to viewers. I’d think a team with a cannon offense and sieve like defense would make for good viewing. At least, the opposite of that gets thrown at the hoops team all the time.

Should be. Hoos are notoriously bad at putting butts in seats with good teams. This is a 6-6 mid team on the field with a coaching staff that’s checked out. I wouldn’t waste a “prime” spot on them.

That coaching list is interesting. Honestly Huff is not someone I considered but upon further review I like. He checks a ton of boxes for me.
