Stocks are a whirlwind. One day the sky is falling, the next youāve made twice what you thought you were losing. Iād just let what you have ride but I will say if you are looking to buy mine went waaayyy up today so maybe not the best time to buy in right this minuteā¦

I need to put my rising college freshman into finance 101ā¦he is headed to college and getting lots of gift cards as graduation presents. Today he got one from Uber Eats for $100. he said, āI donāt have uber eats, so I will have to set up and account.ā. I said Iāll give you 100 cash and you can give me the card, trying to help him out. He said āno way, Uber eats is expensive, Iāll need this cardā. Dad smacks hand to face.
Hey guys @Spencer and his dad Tom (UVa soccer 94) wrote this guide for students on Financial Literacy. Very easy to read and follow and I know some people have said they would love their HS / college aged kids to have something like this. Carla even wrote the Forward!
So I just listened to this episode, and the guy was talking about the way to attack AI by investing in boring investments like (industry, chemical, pharma, banks, law firms, energy, etc) that are likely to improve efficiency (potentially downstaffing) and be easier to peg winners⦠potentially some increased risk in SPY/VOO based on reliance on the huge spenders⦠any thoughts/companies/ETFs that come to mind as winners in this regard?
Haha, it typically is a fantasy podcast, but the host tends to be more gambling focused, brings on this guy to talk stock/investing each year in the NFL offseason
