You the man sir.
The looks on the managers’s faces as we walked past them to the locker room was priceless. And there were like 12 of them. Then we had a police escort back from the airport and a great crowd waiting at U-Hall. Then we all went out and…ended up at the Rotunda and made sure we followed tradition. That dunk and technical was one of the best moments in my time as manager. Well, that and the time I was alone in the middle of the court at Cameron as the crowd all pointed at me and told me I sucked in an amazing chant. Soaked that in for a bit.
Hahahhahah. The Cameron story though Tee!!!
There were a number of services doing evaluations then, but I don’t remember too many of them being easily available to the public. Tom Konchalski was very well respected. I believe Howard Garfinkel was, also. I also don’t believe any of them tried to be as comprehensive as ESPN, Rivals, or 247Sports, which might explain why they were probably better. The earliest I remember were those in Street & Smith’s annual basketball magazine, and they didn’t attempt to rank prospects in order. Instead, they grouped them into three categories and listed them in alphabetical order with each subsequent group being larger than the one above it. And, they were very “hit or miss”. The top category featured photos of the prospects. My general impression was that the lists generated by Street & Smith, as well as the ACC Handbook’s, were the result of discussions with scouts and not evaluations by those publications’ staffs.
The best thing about that tech, if memory serves, is that the clock was winding down, so instead of just letting the game end, we got another couple minutes to bask in the glow of finally winning in the Dean Dome.
For those who missed the other day, I thought this was the best extended glimpse of Cofie. HS, not AAU:
Jackson Keith will be the 2025 Kon/Keels/Keon Johnson/Sheppard. Kid who vibes hard with Tony and staff, explodes into a bonafide 5 star next summer, strings UVA along to a runner up to blue blood/home team
Jfc. He’s a Durham kid. If UNC or Duke offer, it’ll be hard for him to turn that down. It ain’t rocket science.
Like Sheppard. He’s a Kentucky kid, his mom and dad played there. How exactly did he string Bennett and UVa along?
I get it, negativism for likes on an über negative board. But sometimes nattering nabobs are as lame as Agnew.
NOT FACTS! . . . . . “C’mon, man!”
??? Im not negative. I think tone of voice gets lost in online communication lol.
I should have capitalized the U in uber.
Maybe im the one misunderstanding. But that would mean to admit fault, which i wont do
@DanEpstein found this. Kon and Ament on their Duke visit. Ament with MVMtraining (same trainer as all the PVI kids including Jeremy Roach and Ngongba/Abraham). And Kon with his brothers.

I’m curious did Kons brothers come to UVA in either trip? Were they in Charlottesville on Thursday?
Must have, they went straight to Durham from Charlottesville.
Schutt and Proctor trying SO hard to act like they don’t see the camera 3 feet away. Idiots.
He did
Just committed
