Thank you for that link as it’s Tonys instructions to shoot. Basically it was Kihei saying eff you to the haters, the competitors and the crowd and I’m here for it.
I’ve sort have been conditioned to that kind of coaching decision from watching so many Orioles games under Buck Showalter. He and Tony share a philosophy that pitchers need to pitch out of the trouble that they caused. It can get pretty scary and sometimes goes badly.
Tony’s idea of throwing caution to the wind is using groceries on the same day as it’s sell by date.
Let’s see you really go crazy next game Tony and #FreeJabri
Kihei shooting over the screens wasn’t what got me mad. Those are the open shots. Kihei shooting pull up jumpers after dribbling top of the key and NOT FEED HUFF OR HAUSER WHEN THEY HAD POSITION CALLING FOR IT was infuriating. Or at least lob it over to huff for the easy dunk my god.
This…doesn’t work
Fact the best bet is have all uva games on accnx and then don’t get that network. All you can do is watch the ticker

Highlight of the game is absolutely Kadin hitting the Alvarado air guitar at the 1:40 mark
When are fans like you going to appreciate that Kihei is a gamer. Not everyone has his gift of,playing better as game pressure increases.
If only Tony Bennett knew the players and could see the game as clearly as you do.
Kihei’s record in a UVA uniform? 72-13.
Don’t be a moron.
That is exactly true. Ask A-Rod…
2009 - just saying.
We don’t win the game without Kihei… The haters need to stop. Sure, there is room for constructive criticism (nobody is perfect) but stop making it about his height. The dude is clutch and arguably has the biggest heart of anyone out there on the floor.
I didn’t get to watch the game. How did Kadin look in his little bit of time he was out there?
He had a very impressive one on one defensive stand. That’s all i recall
I thought he looked great defensively in limited minutes. Hope he gets more minutes soon because we’ll need him against some of the big heavy teams we’re about to face. Love his upside offensively too
The defensive effort as a whole was really good. GT is #51 in offense on KenPom, and they were held to 0.80 points-per-possession which was their lowest output this whole season.
The second half effort esp was one of the best I’ve seen this season. Especially being able to bounce back and support a sluggish offense that was having to grind against an active GT D.
This felt very much like a Round of 32 game in terms and energy and intensity. From a glass half full perspective, it was good to see that we could grind out a win in a game like this on the back of our defense and effort. Also great to see Huff and Hauser filling up the stat sheet in other categories (rebounds, assists, blocks) during a game where they really didn’t get going a ton on offense. Even if it wasn’t pretty at times, being able to win multiple ways is what gets teams deep into the post season.

He’s like a first responder that sets the house on fire just so he can come in, rescue the family and be called the hero.
That is one of the more accurate similes I’ve seen.
Another one is the QB that throws 4 picks in the first 3 quarters and gets the team down by 17 and mounts a comeback to try to fix what he broke.
