So maybe he’s Brett Favre?

Funny analogy there. I used to feel like London LIKED to be behind that it kinda fueled him in a lotta ways to be big down the stretch. maybe its the California cool thing

I’m kinda confused about the Kihei discourse coming after this game where he ended up at 14 points on 54% effective FG% (which properly accounts for threes being worth more than twos) and had 6 assists to 1 turnover. He’s certainly had some not-good ACC games (though overall he has been fine offensively in conference play in my opinion), but this was not one of them. He shot bad in the first half and then very good in the second half, and it averaged out to being a good offensive performance.

Kihei will go down as the most controversial and the most overlooked player in UVA history. He’s going to be close to or the All time wins leader. But his other stats will all be middle of the road for the most part. Yet when you go back through his career and look at big moments late, he may end up with the most. I can think of 4 games this season where if he doesn’t play the last 5 mins, the Hoos don’t win. It’s crazy.

I think he would definitely get that record if it wasn’t for covid shortening two of his seasons.

Exactly that’s why I hedged my bet there, I think he’s going to miss out on too many games thanks to no Tourney last yr and short season this year. But he’s going to play 4 yrs in as good of an UVA era as we’ve ever seen. And he will have contributed more. Huff technically could be the all time wins guys, but honestly his contributions until last year were small at best.

It’s London right now, right? I think Jack was part of the roster for the most wins but didn’t get the record because he missed several wins over his career.

YEs I’m pretty sure it’s London and I think you’re correct about Jack being close.

Not about one game for me. I just prefer a junior starter to have more games above the team mean for the game than below. And a good PG should have at least 60-70% of his games be above. Currently Clark is above the team average for a game about 1/3 of the time.

Virginiasports says London is 4th

I think it’s Salt (125) and Ralph (112) above him. It’s not an easy stat to calculate really accurately. You really have to know which games each player played in over the length of their career.

Then it’s someone from the ‘16 class at like 115. Maybe Tobey? I just remember during the title run they said Jack would have the record if he had appeared in every game during his 4 years but he fell a few games short due to DNPs. Would be really easy to figure out if they just updated the online record book every offseason.

Edit: or maybe Dev and Zay or just Dev if Wilkins missed a few games? I’m just confident it’s a Bennett player and the announcers said it wasn’t Jack during the title tournament. Of course, they could’ve also just been wrong about it not being Jack.

It’s probably one of these guys. I don’t know why the list doesn’t include Salt though
