Very random ask, but a friend’s kid is going to be going to St. John Paul the Great Catholic HS in Dumfries VA to play basketball… you all in the scouting world… they tend to be any good?
I thought to myself a few weeks ago “Duke didn’t add a pg in their 2024 class. Could they go after Acaden and continue the trend of UVA targets who end up at Duke but didn’t make Peach Jam?” (Foster Power Kon all on teams that didn’t make Peach jam and Team Durant didn’t make it I think)
Also the no UVA means Tony is bowing out which again makes sense. Both the blow up and the need for more of a combo guard as McKneely’s successor like Derek Dixon or shooting our shot with Braylon Mullins (or offering Courtland Muldrew)

From previous conversations, he was considering STAB, and used to play with kids going into Paul VI this year, so hopefully he can give them a lift? 
It’s crazy how quickly he went from UVA lean to being Unattainable. After this post we’ve enter into no chance territory when a Duke HC goes to visit a player.
Kinda interesting to put it out there publicly…I appreciate the candor as a neutral observer, of course.
They’re in a serious league and play good teams on a regular basis (Bullis and Paul VI almost every season) but they’ve been under .500 for several years now.
