No…it almost holds their teams hostage. I think that’s the point, to keep them from playing in other events during the 2nd week. They don’t want those Nike vs Adidas matchups we got last summer in Vegas.

It’s the Bishop McNamara JV coach that they are responding to, which is a funny intersection of the staff’s scholastic period recruiting activity.
I too would like to see Nate Ament vs Cam Ward. I’d settle for unedited video of Cam taking 100-200 college-distance 3s in game simulation conditions.

As of now, he has options. He has offers from Brown and Dartmouth if that sort of thing appeals to him. He has high major offers from urban schools: BC, Wake, Miami, and St. John’s (so, evidently, Rick Pitino likes him). He has offers from schools in college towns (UVa) and from schools in towns in-between (UGA). Everyone frets about style of play and NIL, but I do wonder what the role of town’s size plays in a recruit’s choice of schools.
