Vanderbilt is well funded. They play a fun style, players like that. And we’ll cross paths more just because it’s the former JMU staff, lots of VA/DC ties.

No UVA. He’s going to UNC anyways if they want him and if not probably WF (edit: not nc state) or Kansas so it saves us some time. (like how Matthew Able is probably going to Baylor or Miami regardless)
I do wonder if we recruit the younger Hodge brother. A top recruit in 2026 but he can also reclass to 2025. Once we win the natty and have our exodus to the pros, the openings could be enticing

Is it too early to lodge a “Matthew Hodge transfers to ODU for the 2025-26 season” prediction? He’s one of three freshmen forwards at Nova so could end up getting lost in the rotation, Neptune is very meh, the ODU coach is very ambitious and has Papa Hodge on staff.
Am I speaking evil for Nova into existence? Yes.

I appreciate Denis leaving UVA out. So we don’t need to pretend he’s a real possibility. Back in June I heard the coaches were “kicking his tires” to figure out if they had a chance. Pretty sure they’ve known since then there was no chance.
Weird list too. No NC State or Clemson, teams that had him at games last season before he was popular. They probably consider it a favor too though.
