You’re good autocorrect really wanted me to type LSD too
Thought this was a pretty insightful article. However I wanna know the juicy details rather than what’s being published ![]()
For someone who likes to live out on a ranch, Bronco is tuned in to his PR team and the message they’ve created for him. I love that 10 months is all he needed to recharge focus and prepare to “summit” the mountain. GTFO I’m over this clown.
If he weren’t a football coach, he would definitely live in a place like this because “the city doesn’t have enough nature”
And drive the kids to school in one of these
Dragon unfiltered is the best Dragon! Maybe him and @WFS_HOO already started the double IPAs today

Nah he comin in like this!
No way - if bronco didn’t have the millions, he’d be every wannabe “country” dude in the burbs.
On a video call for work and legit had to cover my face cause I was laughing
Bronco translator services:
On the advantage programs can get if they hire a coach like Mendenhall who is available now:
I’m free right now. Literally. I can’t take another second of this horse farm BS.
On why he took a break from coaching:
Can I interest you in an analogy about a mountain? No? Okay, fine. I was burnt out and had a cruddy season.
On what he would say to schools who are worried about him retiring after a couple of years:
This time, I must insist on that mountain analogy.
On if he would only take a Power Five job:
What’s important is alignment (psst - I will take whatever is offered. It turns out I don’t like horses as much as I remember when I was a kid).
“I would like to live within a 15 minute drive of a restaurant”
I do believe he does not like the farm life nearly as much as he presents. That’s all part of his mystique the horse riding roaming coach…Maybe instead of going home to ride a horse everyday he shoulda rode his Dline harder so they could read their keys. Also if he has the cure for burnout in less than 10 months, he should stop coaching and start selling person retreat plans
I’ll go on record now I will fade every game Bronco’s new team plays next season and keep a record of it.

It taste so good
You think if Bronco gets a job he’s gonna put up the bat signal and get the gang back together after a season of all going their own way?
Now that’s a great question… imagine Anae may be the hardest to get back given what’s happening at Cuse.. but if they miss a bowl I imagine Dino is fired. Cant inagine Howell is being paid well at Vandy…
Dorrell signed for 18/5. ASU was paying Edwards 17/5 on his extension. Bronco walked away from the last 3 years of a 24.5/6 extension, giving up 12.9/3 and he was supposed to pay back some sort of buyout (who knows if we demanded it back).
Maybe ASU wants a guy who follows rules instead of flouting them. Maybe CU wants someone actually competent instead of what they had. Those are the 2 most likely schools and I don’t think either are really all that interested, but he’s definitely not making more money than he gave up. Fan support at both places is meh, no better than us. All he’s getting is way easier academics and recruiting territory he knows better, but he’s not getting the LDS pipeline to BYU back. That’s what made recruiting life easier for him at BYU, not the location.
I can only conclude that he really hated it at Virginia. Maybe too liberal, too elitist, too un-LDS, too Southern, too whatever he didn’t find appealing. Hated it enough to walk away from millions he’ll probably never be able to make up for a chance at one of the few P5 jobs inferior to ours.
The ASU option is the most intriguing to me honestly. They have some history as a program and may want to jump back into things especially with the PAC 12 becoming strange. I also assume they have some coffers they could tap into if they need to, and usually the hiring process goes - loose guy - over correct with strict guy… And Bronco would be the anti Herm Edwards.
Generally agree on Colorado, that program is dead in the water and has been since 94ish. Can’t imagine they have much money or even quality facilities at this point given their lack of relevance for almost 30 years.
I know I joke about Nebraska on here, but I could see them kick the tires on a Bronco they make some strange hires and word is they are ready to throw a ton of money at somebody. I don’t see Wisconsin being a landing spot with Alverez still floating around as oversight of the program.
It’s also 10/5 and 3 P5 jobs are open with Auburn likely coming online in Nov and then the typical musical chairs that will follow. There’s plenty of opportunity for him to get back in the game and someone is gonna over react.
I do believe Bronco is itching to get back in the game though. He’s done more press in the last 3 months unemployed than he did in the previous 10 years employed. Like I said above he is doing a PR masterclass in image reformation/narrative adjustment. You don’t go through all that if you just want to sit on your ranch and look at horses.
I couldn’t agree more. At this point, his words are suspect to me. He quit on the team, the program, and the fans. Family and health always come first but he didn’t have any major issues on either front it seems. He just couldn’t take the failure and pulled the plug.
If Bronco doesn’t quit on us, Elliott’s probably at Duke and Anae isn’t at Cuse. We’re 4-1 easy, maybe 5-0.
