As a Heat fan, glad they won the series but it was also nice to see Dre play well and get opportunities to shine while Trae got put in prison on the court all series.

Dre on GS would be awesome but I would selfishly love for Dre to be traded to the Sixers this offseason. He’d be a perfect fit for what they need at the 3 and would love to have him play for his hometown team. I’d be more than okay with them giving up Thuybulle for him at this point

I think there’s some internal unhappiness around the team with Thybulle’s vax stuff so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s shipped out.
When the Simmons trade talk was happening before the Harden deal, there was a rumor that Atlanta was interested, but they didn’t want Harris. I think it was Simmons and Harris for Collins and a couple other guys. I think the idea was to free up cap space to sign Harden as a FA after the season.
I was telling my friends that Dre had to be one of the pieces coming back to make it worthwhile.

Yeah I can’t imagine anyone not super desperate would want Harris’ contract. All the different ways for moving him at the last deadline made a lot of sense for the Sixers but not much sense for just about anyone else
This could be part of why he looked so bad for portions of the year. I’m glad the knee is good tho because if think if there’s anything that’s gonna keep him from reaching his potential it’s that

I suspect he’ll be in atlanta for a while baring trade. Dre will be eligible for an large extension this summer and he’d be crazy not to take it.

4 year $180 million is the highest I think. That’s Ja territory. Dre’s camp should hope the Knicks are dumb and sign Barrett to high extension, he should at least match that.

Collins got $125 million over 5 years. I think Dre is looking at no less than $100 as it stands. I could see him locking in a slightly longer contract with ATL if he is worried about these injuries long term.

I think the way it works is he still plays our his 4 year rookie deal at like $10mil next year and then a 4-5 year extension could be negotiated for after that. If no extension reached this summer, he this is a RFA in 23 and atlanta will have to deal with competitive offers. Usually a guy will take the extension (if offered at fair price) unless he hates the team or wants a prove it year to boost his value more.

Zion is the big enigma right now. Will NO offer the max based on all his injuries and will he even take it, it would be unprecedented for him not to but it’s a very murky situation.

Honestly NO should shop him on the trade market. If they could get like 4 or 5 firsts, I would take it. They are rolling and if they can add a starting caliber/borderline all star true point guard and upgrade some of their reserves, they could be very very good
