Sorry if this has been posted (did not see it), but a lot of love on Twitter for Joe Harris’s defense against the Pacers, particularly at the end of the game.
He’ll make sure everyone gets touches.
Two thoughts:
-
Might be good to see Joe in another uniform. The Nets are a mess.

Not sure why Malcolm did not get on the floor at all in the overtime against the Cavs. Looks like they’re still working on who will close out games. Great game though. The Cavs are good and will only get better.
Lol. Dyson Daniels misses two free throws. Matt Ryan (former UVA target who ended up at Iowa State) hits the 3 to tie it at the buzzer over Trey Murphy. To OT we go.
Matt Ryan went to ND then fizzled out and transferred to Chattanooga where he was really good.
Looks like he also played a year at Vandy.
There was a good story about him going from working In a Westchester cemetery to playing in the nba finals.
So we say Cousy played against plumbers and electricians. Our kids will say Steph played against cemetery workers.
Good catch. Same hs as Jerome.
For some reason I was thinking of Matt Thomas.
Yammin on him. Let the world know LeTravel is straight sawwffffttttt.
Also completely missed his defensive assignment the last play that cost them the game. Ouch.
This is going to be a random observation, but playing fantasy basketball for the first time has made me look at players a little differently. I’ve had De’Andre Hunter on my team, and while he is doing well general NBA performance wise, it is weird how little he fills up the stat sheet in categories other than points. It feels like a guy his size and as versatile as he is should be doing a little better in rebounds, steals, blocks, etc. Assists, eh, the offense is a terrible system and he’s not being asked to playmake. But the other stuff is a little odd.
Anyway, I hope he continues to grow and kill it this year. But I wish I didn’t feel like I have to drop him in fantasy, ha.
Hey man. He won you a UVa national championship. How you gonna come at his fantasy production on your team? Haha
That… is fair. I have three Hoos on my team though (Dre, Trey, and Malcolm). I’m doing my part!
I blame Nate McMillan
Love it
It’s a good observation. On Sam Veccinie’s podcast they talk about his defensive rebounding % and it’s pretty atrocious for a big wing with size and strength.
That’s the pod I was trying to remember that referenced that. Believe Dre averages a tick above 4 boards a game for his career. Not impressive for a 6"8ish wing who will slot into the 4.
I will throw out the theory that maybe his numbers are deflated because he plays alongside Capella and Collins. Those are 2 bigs 1 of whoms soul purpose is to defend and rebound.
The other issue is with all the jumpshots. Tons of missed 3s ruin the traditional rebounding numbers. Partially why guys like luka can average a triple double
Great point lotta long boards
I disagree here
