At least Hali has a good sense of humor about his minutes:
Need us womens bball to win to tie china in gold medals.
Tie goes to the country that doesnât have to pretend rhythmic gymnastics and pair synchronized swimming are sports to get to their total
The USA womenâs team has attemptedâŠ3 threes in the first half? Does the womenâs game need an analytic revolution?
France reminds me of the 90âs Knicks with the physicality, which explains some of the missed layups. But the US turnovers on seemingly half their possessions are the reason for a 25-25 halftime score. Yikes.
It is kinda like a 90s/00s NBA game. Super physical (France drew the fifth foul on Young by two-hand shoving her into a cutting player) and lots of two point jumpers.
Lol what. That was a hilarious ending, Gabby Williams made a prayer shot at the buzzer but was just inside the line. Why did she so run so far in?
Haha I saw someone point out that they pulled off the Kihei-Mamadi play, which is cool, but they needed 3 not 2.
Had the outcome (but not final score) spoiled for me before I was able to watch the recording, unfortunately. Still a really good game/fun watch regardless
2 of the top 3 spots in the medal count.
A-C-C! A-C-C! A-C-C!
Nope. Canât do it. Still gross and dumb.
@Serum114 Youâre so blind you missed Cal! So much ACC tradition
Indeed I did. The tie threw me off. Well, that and the fact that Cal shouldnât be in the ACC.
I kept scrolling further and further down the list of colleges and universities with medal winners, including one or two community colleges, several Division 3 schools, a school called Life University, and another called College of Sequoias, but, nope, no Virginia Tech winners.
Dont knock Life University rugby hotbed⊠also not a real school IMO
Itâs a school forâŠchiropractors? Huh.
So Life = Chiropracty. I guess if you have a bad back, thatâs trueâŠ
Yeah, but if you have a bad back you should really be seeing a doctor, not a chiropractor. But thatâs a whole different convo.
I live like 10 mins away from Life University as I said they are massive in the rugby world. Even though they did not develop a colligate rugby program until the mid 2000s. Without even thinking about it I would bet between the U.S. Menâs and Womenâs rugby teams there were at least 4 Life grads.
Iâve known a lot of graduates you either get a degree in chriopratic work or nutrition.
If UVA was a country, it would have finished 16th in the medal count.
