🏀 Hoos in the NBA 2024-25

Another example of Jay reverse dunking everything:

RD sprained his ankle in the second half, went to the locker room, and did not return.

Right before he went to the locker room, there was a TV time out and he jumped up from where he was getting treatment to dap everybody as they came back to the bench. His limp was pretty bad, and the trainer ended chasing him back to the locker room instead of letting him stay on the bench. Tough dude, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he missed a few games.

Bummer, he’s off to a great start. Hope it is just a tweak and he can be back soon.

Of course, an injury would just line him up with the rest (most) of UVA players in the NBA. Hope Huff stays off the injury list and Ty is full recovered from his.

I agree with unknown above! And my UVA fan days started in 1968 in elementary school, when my brother was first year at Virginia. In high school basketball in PA in the mid 1970’s we wore even numbers at home and odd on the road, so, I wore Barry Parkhill’s and Wally Walker’s 40 and 41. I was at UVA during the Lamp, and Raker years and Ralph’s first year. I have loved the Hoos all those years. I have been a season ticket holder for all the JPJ years and was at ACC championships. I remember being at the National Championship game in Minneapolis and when we won people were literally hugging each other and crying with joy as it seemed unbelievable! that after all, UVA finally won what we hoped and dreamed of. I and many others Loved and pulled for so many great Hoos all those years. Those 2019 guys were incredible! So were so many through the years including those I mentioned above and will not name them all but had many many favorites and great one’s like Malcolm and Joe and Bryant Stith and John Crotty. To me, the greatest player least talked about was Jeff Lamp. Also, Lee Raker was greater than credited too. We were so blessed to have both Coach Holland and Tony. Both stopped coaching too young but both had their reasons I respect. I will miss Tony most of all because He proved you can be the best doing it the right way. His character in both horrible adversity and in the greatest moments of success is the very best I ever saw. If we get another high character and successful coach, it will be wonderful to have all their legacies continue. Tony’s pillars are the best we ever had. If we lose them among NIL, free agency and realignment then we have really lost something of greatest value. If we can still win and have high principles then joy will come again. Tony’s pillars and John Wooden’s pyramid of success are the highest standards of human conduct ever in college sports and leadership as far as I am concerned. I hope we hire someone who can win with noble values. We have seen it is possible. That is what we should not want to lose.
Here is hoping and what this loyal fan is pulling for.

Dunn banged up? Yeah, just remembering @PHX_Hoo ’s post (who seems to live a full non-Arby’s life but who I picture in the back office of an Arby’s somewhere)

Sprained ankle… doesn’t appear serious.

Funny, I picture you hunched over your computer trying to figure out how best to reply to your own comments.

I kid, I kid.

I really want to see Jay Huff dunk on Corey Kispert’s face.

Finished with 20 pts I think.

Huff almost had that nasty dunk to end the 3rd just now.

Lol Gill and Huff exchanged 3s and the announcers gave a “wahoo”

Also Memphis is playing Edey Huff and Castillion all at the same time. 3 7fters.

“We’re playing fast, and we’re playing the right way,” said backup guard Ty Jerome, who scored a season-high 20 points against Golden State. “Everyone is making shots, and everyone is having fun. And Donovan and Darius’ selflessness is allowing us to play that way.”

What a game for Ty he has certainly arrived.

I’m not 100% certain, but I think Ty & Donovan Mitchell have known each other since they were little kids. Played in the same youth program as I recall. That would be amazing to have success at the highest level with someone you’ve known most of your life.

Yes. Mark Jerome coached them when they were young on same team
