How does one figure out if a two way player is with the big team or the d-league team? Iām heading to a Gold game and am really hoping Huff and Key are both in GR instead of Denver.
Also, is there a comprehensive list of former UVa players in the pros and how they are doing?
Nah, I really only consider this topic a scattershooting of thoughts and unnecessary snarky remarks that occasionally touch on our players playing in the pros.
Thanks, @jazznutUVA for actually answering my second question
This was a great video!..Itās amazing thinking about all of Mama-Dās accolades and the amount of events heās actually won. Iām sure seeing it from across the pond from Guinea is amazing as well.
Wait a minute- will he still get paid his contractual $19.9 just with the opportunity to sign with a *different team? If he signs with a different team can he ādouble dipā or will they need to take over a whole/part of that $19.9?
Since they are waiving him I think he should be able to double dip- just my thoughts.
Oh thatās crazy- so they can override his existing contract that they AND he signed/agreed to and he would get relegated to making the league minimum?
Donāt get me wrong- Iām glad that heās out of a terrible Pistons team situation and can join another contender, but thatās alot of money that was promised that he may not be able to recoup.
Yeah like @DavetheWave said in this case the vast majority of his contract was guaranteed. I really thought he might have some value as an expiring contract, but at this point Iām hoping he gets signed by a playoff contender and he can show enough to get a contract next season.
Expirings only have value to contenders trading for players. They need to move salary out to bring salary in and the teams trading with them donāt want future salary obligations.
The Pistons arenāt trading for high priced good players to make a playoff push. The teams theyāre trading with donāt really care about expirings. Except for that weird deal they did with the Wizards last week.
Okay thought so lol! I was assuming the previous statement about him signing for the vet minimum would override his signed-agreed to- contractā¦but glad that is not the case. So he will get atleast close to his 19.9 with Detroit paying some and another team paying the rest- however that breaks down.
