Totally had that same thought last night. Rudy and KAT got me to cheer for Kyrie. I didn’t know that was possible

I met KAT once after game in Minny when we were playing in Final 4. He and his dad could not have been nicer people… but I completely get your mini rant here about him on the court

Lol that’s funny because I’m the same way about Luka instead of Kyrie. Respect Luka’s game and he’s fun to watch, just whines too much for me. So I kind of am begrudgingly pulling for the Wolves I guess

Didn’t KAT lose both parents during COVID?

Edit, just checked…lost mom. Dad was sick but survived.

That’s the frustrating deal with KAT he seems like a good guy but his game is so annoying to watch

It’s fine if you don’t respect KAT’s game, but don’t confuse the player with the man. Dude is a good guy and has been through a lot. I find it easy to root for him.

Kyrie, with his flat earth trutherism and love of Nazis? Yeah, not so much.

No one is confusing his game for who he is as a person

Fitting he passes away 2 days from the last pac-12 event ever.

Damn today sucks. Regardless of opinions on his commentating he brought a lot of energy to the sport

Was thinking the same. I used to low key hate him doing games then liked him then hated again. But dam I wish he would always be doing his thing

Bill was a national treasure, most entertaining man in college sports. The only reason to watch a CBB game after 10pm.

If you wanted a game full of hyperbole… look no further than Bill Walton!

I’ll always remember Walton when he was working NBA games for NBC and after a Knicks playoff loss he looked right into the camera ans started his statement with ā€œCharlie Ward sucksā€¦ā€

The ESPN series they did on him is worth watching even if you aren’t a Bill Walton fan–some really great stuff in those episodes. He will be missed by basketball and dead heads equally. RIP Father Time.

Will always associate Walton with Steve ā€œSnapperā€ Jones even though he mostly became associated with college hoops.

Of course the one Celt who didn’t show up to see the Dead was Danny Ainge. Was probably too busy at home practicing dirty plays. One time I did see Danny in NYC taking in a movie. Was he coaching the Suns for a while or something? (Got my timing off by a bit here, but whatever)

Not gonna lie tho, I’m not a Dead enjoyer but you say that around boomers and it’s like you just insulted their mother or something.

I’m with Walton on the Dead not as die hard as him but they are a phenomenal act. My kids are well aware of the lyrics to Friend of a Devil agter hearing it every night at bedtime

My favorite sports bar back when i lived in Portland to watch the Blazers (and other sports) was called the Spirit of 77 (in honor of the team he led to the championship). Bill Walton was rightfully beloved in that city.
