Loved Bill as a commentator- having moved from the west coast to east … perfect for TV - would have been terrible for radio lol..
Will miss him … and as a Celtics fan will always have a special place in my fandom heart for that 1985-86 team … the best team ever!!! They were so enjoyable to watch and were one of the inspirations of me switching from baseball to basketball as my main sport.

Spirit of 77’ was awesome. Had to get there early on game days as it was in the vicinity of the Rose Garden (or Moda Center..but it’ll always be the Rose Garden for me) and always packed. There were a ton of great inner Eastside spots, however, or you could even be downtown or in the Pearl and hop on a train pretty easily. Brings back so many memories. Had season tickets that I split with some friends for about 4-5 years from 2006 when Brandon Roy was the man. That place and city were really behind the Blazers and it was so much fun. Walton was a legend there too. Man, time moves on pretty quickly.

anyone know what restrictions there are on roster composition? I know it’s 9 people per team.
Can you have players with current NBA team contracts? G League?

I think players under NBA contracts are not eligible to play in the TBT per their contracts. G-League I’m not sure but think it’s similar.
Don’t think there is much of a UVA connection, doesn’t look like KG is on the roster.

Kyle Guy said he tried to make a Virginia TBT team happen a few times but hasn’t happened yet “for whatever reason.” But he wants to keep trying to organize one.
