Celtics are up against the 2nd apron with supermax deals for Brown and Tatum coming into the books. Doubt they can afford to resign Hauser.
Yeah that’s why they drafted the Creighton guy
It’s gonna be more than that. Like a lot more than that, no?
Kennard: 4/64
Strus: 16 a yr
Even Gabe Vincent is on 10 a year.
He’s probably looking at 12 or 13 a year
Mid-level exception is ~$12m/year so somewhere in that ballpark feels right.
Kennard is a really good comp for Hauser, but he’s got a few more years of experience (Top 5 active players in 3FG%: Kennard, Joe Harris, Seth Curry, Steph Curry, Sam Hauser). I’m guessing 3 years at 8-9m for Sam.
Edit - Kennard makes 12, Seth makes 8.5, Joe made 19, and Steph is a god and not really comparable. They’re obviously all older and more experienced.
Isiah Joe just got 4/48. I still don’t think the Celtics can afford to pay Hauser, but some team probably gives him the room exception (which is 8 mil/year).
I feel like NBA money has finally reached a similar level to MLB money where everyone is getting paid like crazy.
Lol. Though last year Trayce Jackson-Davis and Chris Livingston both got picked later and got similar deals (only 2 years guaranteed compared to 3 though). But yeah, we know why he got so much guaranteed.
They’re missing one, Isaiah Wong picked 55th in 2023 draft
Mamadi getting paid (technically getting some pay guaranteed) by being in the right place at the right time.
Dang and he’s going to Brooklyn? Do they even have anybody on that team anymore? I’d have to look, but maybe he actually gets some run while they totally rebuild?
Just saw that Jay Huff will be on Orlando Magic’s summer league team
He spent last yr on a 2way with Denver?
Yep, him and Braxton both.
Reece first summer league game tonight at 6:30. ESPN
Am i going to record a summer league game to watch later?
Yes you are
Was going to say “This is rhetorical, right?” But Dragon beat me to it, and was pithier, too.
No sleeves Reece!
