Every time we lose in the World Cup (or former world championship) people forget this is the norm. 2010 and 2014 were exceptions when we had stars like KD and Steph playing. But outside of that back to back weāve only won it one other time since NBA players began participating in international play. USA basketball only cares about doing well enough at the World Cup to lock in an Olympic spot. Team USA sending a B (or C in this case?) team and coming somewhere between 3rd and 8th is the normal result
Having an Olympic experience in Paris seems like it would be a nice draw for these guys as well. Of recent Olympic host cites, probably only Rio would be more fun.
I realize all these guys can afford to go anywhere and do almost anything they want, but Olympics in Paris sounds freaking incredible.
Plus outside of fun the games being in Paris will be good for business for most of the guys. We saw basically full participation for London 2012. Everyone K wanted that was healthy went. Will be surprised if we donāt see something similar for Paris 2024
Nice. BVP and Darion both in Europe, too. Germany and Italy, respectively. We should figure out everyone at some point, but I was just listing the Euro League guys. Jazz had to explain that whole structure to me slowly several times before I understood.
Jayden is playing in Kortrijk Belgium, which is where the Battle of the Golden Spurs took place, which I vaguely remember. Not to be confused with the Battle of the Golden Corral, from a few years back, which I remember vividly.
