Did we decide to run out the clock as soon as we received the ball with 4 minutes left? Picked up a first down, then burned like 90 seconds doing nothing.

I loved the clock management at the beginning of this drive, but with that new set of downs you have to pass. No risk of Miami getting the ball back at this point, go try to score!

Another game where we go into the half playing scared.
I’ve liked a lot of what I’ve seen today but this kinda shit is still inexcusable. You had 1:15 left on the clock at the 50 with all 3 timeouts and you concede the drive, pardon my language but that is a bitch way to go into the locker room.

Yep, at 2-5 let it roll, don’t get conservative in that position! It’s one of the benefits of being 2-5 you play spoiler every week.

Will say that outside of that last drive, I’ve liked the playcalling overall on both sides of the ball. Des is keeping it balanced and we’re actually running the ball fairly well, and Rud is doing a good job of bringing delayed heat and forcing Miami to make plays through the air. Our guys are also starting to get off the blocks and make some really nice open field tackles.
We’re playing well but getting up two scores is gonna be vital I think. Can’t let them build momentum or have drives continue to stall out, they’ve got too much speed at the skill positions to be held down for the rest of the game.
