Agreed. I was happy with them running clock for a while. When it got to 1 minute left at midfield… that’s when I expected them to start looking downfield. Felt like they forgot the half was about to end.

This game was crapped way at the end of the first half. Had a chance to step on their necks, instead played it like a bunch of pussies and basically gave them momentum heading into the locker room. Completely on the HC.

Welp, not a good sequence to open the 2nd half here.
So frustrating that this is the 5th game we’ve had a double digit lead in this season, and if we take an L here our record in those games will be 1-4. Regardless of the result today the staff has to change their approach to end of half situations and preparing the team going into the 2nd half, because what they’re doing currently isn’t working.

You get the 1st down with a playcall that we should be running on 3rd and short EVERY TIME, but then fuck it up by calling timeout for some reason.

I’m still a little surprised at how reliably we’re converting 2nd/3rd and short yardage situations. I mean, not 100%, but that we’re doing it at all against a good team is faintly surrealistic.
Ok, after that fiasco the playcalling has picked up. Going with some good tempo and Muskett is finding guys on quick looks.

Decent response there, probably needed a TD but after that 3rd and short shitshow I’ll take points of any kind from that drive.
Have to get a stop now on this short field (return coverage has been subpar again), they moved the ball wayyyy too easily last time.
