This one really baffles me. Not only why we haven’t offered and prioritized him, but also why he has hardly any recruiting profile. It’s bizarre.
Underarmour minor league (same league as Blake Buchanan but I think Buchanan’s team moved up to the main division and he balled out against top bigs there and at NBPA top 100 camp. Ty Davis was playing up in 17U).
He has some power 5 school offers/after him but the more highly touted guys and bigger shoe circuits get the attention on top of schools not recruiting HS kids as much anymore.
Suits the heck out of me for him to stay anonymous.
@HoozGotNext said going through the box score he noticed that Ty Davis did struggled some over the summer, going 2/15 in one game for example. He was definitely playing better during the Spring AAU. He’s still on the radar I think, but after his summer performance and no 2023 pgs for UVA, I think the guess is that they need someone ready to takeover day 1 and they feel better about that with Travis Perry and Daniel Freitag.
Im pretty sure Ty Davis is still on the radar though with how active he is with UVA on social media as of recent. And even though Perry and Freitag are probably better today, neither of them really screams point guard to me watch their streams and uploaded games. Really good combo guards.
Didn’t Milt end up at Oregon or am I mis-remembering?
My brother played at Richmond for Tarrant when they beat Cuse in the big dance.
Was Anthonys brother Darryl Oliver on that team?
Good question Fresh, I gotta ask big bro. I remember Kenny Wood and a couple of other guys damn I’m old now champ!
From what I could find, Milt went from Richmond to Iceland.
Ah if hes big bro I played against him. Richmond Times Dispatch they got us in 89. Kenny Atkinson and Wood and your bro
Those old RTD games were fun.
In the next 5 years there should be a new 17K seat arena built in Richmond. I’d love to see an annual 8 team tournament start up for VA schools.
There are 14 D1 schools in VA. Alternate us & Tech each year. Same with VCU & Richmond. Va Union & Va State aren’t D1 but are local…alternate them as well and get them some exposure against D1 programs. Fill in the other 5 spots with the other 10 D1 programs in the state.
Just a thought.
Damn.
@DFresh11 Isn’t Elijah also out with an injury? How is Hudson Catholic going to survive New Jersey City hoops without it’s two studs? That 2025 kid you are on is going step up?
Damn, that’s a bummer.
I’m no orthopedic surgeon, but 3 to 4 months seems like a crazy long time to be out after arthroscopic repair of a small meniscus tear. It’s not unheard of for athletes to resume playing within a couple weeks of those procedures.
Not a surgeon and never had the injury, but I’m a Reds fan. Joey Votto had a meniscus tear and he wasn’t right for a good while.
Yea man. They both played so much this past spring and summer and are both so explosive. Hopefully they get great care and rehab and are good to go
I had it twice in college @Serum114 and came back in maybe two weeks. Imma guess with Tahaad his family is gonna be extra cautious in his junior year and not rush anything
Big time
3-4 months pretty much means the season. Was just looking at their schedule yesterday. Would love to get out there for a game or two (or up to the Bronx to see the Gonzaga game). Was really hoping to see Tahaad, too, but I guess the silver lining is that Elijah will have the ball in his hands.
#MoveHudsonCatholicCloserToThePath.
Elijah is out too with an injury for sometime I believe, if not done for the season.
I could be wrong though.
Really? I thought he had a ding or something, but season threatening?
