Only 3 recorded blocks is laughable. He had at least like 6 or 7.
yeah I only watched the 2nd half and saw more than 3.
Hard to top the awkwardness in our game the other day when Bilasā salary was mentioned. Awkward silence for a few seconds
Lol Ty Davis liked this tweet (random old likes from people I follow pop up in my timeline for some reason. Didnt even have to creep to find this)
Like damn canāt we just offer the kid already? LOL
Ngongba highlights in the 2nd slide. 4 blocks in those clips by espn (recorded from a phone pointed at a TV).
Sammy Yeaney mentioning UVA interest. Big athletic bruiser big. My first take when I found out about him through other people on twitter mentioning him was āMan thatās a Houston bigā so this update makes complete sense.
c What he did: Yeanay is built like a defensive end and is an absolute load under the basket on both ends of the floor. He doesnāt mind throwing his body on the floor and is well versed in how to use his broad shoulders to gain position and create space under the backboard. What sets the 6-foot-7 230-pound forward apart, however, are his soft hands and the fact that heās more than just a paint-anchored bruiser. Yeanay looks to be getting more comfortable letting it fly from the outside and his stroke continues to improve. He knocked down four 3-pointers in the two games Rivals watched in Ft. Myers, and his shooting ability is developed just enough to make defenses respect him a bit on the perimeter. Yeanay, who also routinely shines as a rebounder, is a double-double threat in every game he starts but needs to bring more consistent effort on the defensive endā¦
Recruitment: Yeanay says heās in close contact with Florida, Wake Forest, Virginia, Texas Tech and Houston. Heās yet to take a single official visit, but says he definitely intends to take one to Houston. The Cougars seem to be at the forefront of his recruitment for the time being.
Edit: That Jaiden Glover kid mentioned in the article (who is unranked but will most likely be ranked) is the kind of wing we should be looking for. Long and smooth/fluid with his movement but also defensive versatile. It was watching Jaiden Glover clips at this same tournament that solidified Isaiah Abraham being more of a forward than a wing guard in my mind.
Yeanay sounds like Gardner?
Play style similar but the intangibles are worlds apart. Athletic 6ā7 big time rebounder and physical presence inside. Long arms. And willingness to shoot the outside shot.
Gardner is 6-5, not long or bouncy, and a little slow footed. Still love him to death/love cheering for him even through the lows. Yeaney is down to a T a houston type forward and will probably end up at Houston.
I dunno, by policy I always avoid optimism about recruiting because it results in disaster. However, is it inaccurate of me to feel like all of our targets are leaning elsewhere or at least weāre not in the lead for anyone?
Probably inaccurate and still super early. I suspect we are right there for DF, KK and IA. I think HGN has said recently we arenāt really pushing for anyone hard at the moment.
Not pushing hard early for recruits leaning towards other schools is the best strategy. Gotta play hard to get.
I think we should go next level, send our top targets letters telling them we think they stink and should all go to second rate programs, like Duke. Really get that rejection thing going to make them desperate for us.
That sounds like Travis Watson.

Watson before my time so I wouldnāt know. Possibly.
6ā7 with a 7 foot wingspan and some bounce but does play like Jayden
Is that because itās mid-season, or CTB is just saying āf@ck it, itās cold outsideā? (Humor)
You need to acquaint yourself with the Legend of Travis Watson sir. Dawg personified with skills
Watson was a beast
Facts dude got it done
Twitter clips for those who donāt do instagram.
Like a hybrid of that Norchad Omier guy and Jayden Gardner. Can shoot the 3 some too. Had a recent game where he went 3-6 from 3.
