Matt Barnes berated a student announcer at the Harvard Westlake (Trent Perry, Khamenia) vs Crespi (Barnes son, Malakai Perrantes) game.
Now, this isn’t all that unexpected from Matt Barnes because he’s an instigator
who famously assaulted former teammate Derek Fisher for sleeping with his wife. I mean I guess that last part is kind of understandable, maybe?
But wait, Derek Fisher is the head coach at Crespi, you say?

No idea Derek Fisher was coaching high school ball let alone London Perrantes High School.
Also assaulting a dude for sleeping with your wife, and then years later sending your son to be coached by that same dude is wild.

That is a crazy story, but Fisher is still with the kids’ mom, so maybe not that crazy. Apparently him and Barnes made up.

Tangenting off VCU: I really liked their young forwards and bigs. Toby Lawal, Michael Belle, and Christian Fermin. (Didn’t like Joe Bamisile). If they get some good guards, might be really solid in a couple years.
