Elliot is from Memphis and big influence on me. Always gassed me up when I played there in AAU.
TB also told me a feel good story when they were both on the Hornets and competing for the same position/ minutes. TB said Elliot was the greatest guy even competing on that level

Yeah Chance Mallory is more than worth his height.
Again I like Acaden, but watching both, It’s pretty clear that Mallory is just a different level player offensively.
Also Mallory’s height won’t matter with a future front court of Cofie and Robinson (and hopefully Jemison at the wing)
We are looking for our next Kyle Guy. Someone who can be that secondary facilitator to Bliss but is moreso a bucket getter and shoots with ease and fluidness
Im actually agreeing with @DavetheWave here LOL. Pretty confident Mallory would be VERY good for us, even if he gets burned here and there
Can’t take ‘em all (unless things happen with attrition that also make us sad). And we need the shot creator skillsset more than the two-way guy who might take longer to get to a lead scorer level, if that makes sense.
I like Adrien Stevens A LOT. But Im also high on Leon Bond long run development into a wing and if Gertrude pops off next season after the spring and summer workouts we will be more than fine.
He’ll probably go to Marquette anyways.
One of the things I really love about Mallory is he’s fearless, but not wreckless. Kind of like Ty.

My 2 cents. And many companies do this when recruiting. Take the person that badly wants to be here even if they’re a hair lesser from a talent perspective. That feels like the formula for the CTB version of the Hoos. Waiting rarely works for us.
I like Stevens a lot but i love Mallory. I also am under the impression that if Mallory is coming here he would commit early as in the spring. Either way unless the wheels fall off we are getting a very good player.

I mean I could get behind expecting at least one transfer just based on past history and the overall landscape of college basketball. Doesn’t happen too often nowadays where you’re able to work through an offseason unscathed. But I genuinely don’t think it’ll be more than one, we got lots of guys getting PT outside of Eli and Fresh has said multiple times he’s not going anywhere.
I agree Eli is staying. He sees his potential and now has a better understanding of what he needs to work on this summer. His handle a little bit definitely his shot. The defense will improve based on experience.
